PACO Suction Diffusers
PACO Series PSD suction diffusers are designed to reduce the cost of material, installation and maintenance, reduce space requirements and extend the life of the pump. One fitting replaces a 90 ell, strainer, flow stabilizer and reducer, simplifying pump installation.
Use a suction diffuser whenever floor space does not permit recommended 10 pipe diameters of straight suction piping. Diffuser incorporates flow-straightening guide vanes to promote smooth, even flow profile as fluid enters pump suction thereby maximizing pump life.
Series PSD diffusers incorporate a permanent, perforated stainless steel strainer and a disposable stainless steel, fine-mesh start-up screen for capture and removal of foreign particulates in system piping. Clean fluid, free of suspended solids helps protect pump and other system components. Diffuser is provided with 125# ANSI flanges, suitable for direct mounting to suction flange of the pump.
